aims & objectives
Ibn Rushd National Academy is a non-selective school. The Academy seeks to be an inclusive learning environment, welcoming children from all backgrounds and abilities.
All applications are treated on merit, and in a sensitive manner.
The main restriction placed on entry is that of space availability. It is our wish for parents and guardians to find a place for their child at the Academy. However, this is not always possible due to excess demand on the places available.
An applicant’s aptitude level is not generally an impediment to acceptance, as per the Academy’s admissions policy, as are any special needs the applicant child may have.
Admissions to the MYP and Diploma College is dependent on the child’s ability to fulfil the programmes’ rigorous requirements.
procedures and forms
Admissions is primarily for the beginning of the academic year, late August. In very rare circumstances, Ibn Rushd would consider enrolment during the year.
Parents and guardians who wish for their child to be considered for admissions to the Academy should ensure that they complete the relevant application process by the end of December of the preceding year. Parents and guardians should complete this interested form, one for each child. The form is only available online.
